KAEA Presents to State Board of Education

On Tuesday, July 12th, KAEA board members Elizabeth Madden and Katie Morris had the honor of presenting to the Kansas State Board of Education on behalf of Kansas art educators and students. We shared about the importance of visual arts education and advocated for retaining the full 1 fine arts credit for high school graduation.

You can watch the recording of the livestream here:

The State Board of Education could vote on the graduation requirements proposal as early as their August meeting, August 9th and 10th, so now is the time to contact the State Board of Education. It is recommended that you email every board member as well as Dr. Randy Watson, Kansas Commissioner of Education.
