Sculpture Workshops
Saturday, April 8th  beginning at 10:00 am
Bickerdyke Elementary  348 N. Maple St.  Russell, KS
Bring a Sack Lunch

Attendees will do all three Hands On Sculpture projects:

· Oldenburg Inspired Soft Sculptures- $2.00
Learn how to turn your classroom into a “Pop Art” bakery by upcycling old tube socks and pantyhose. Get that great soft sculpture project without the hassle of threading needles and untangling knots!

· Drywall Low Relief Sculpture- $2.00
Learn how to create a low relief sculpture using the nonconventional (read cheap) material of drywall.  We will go through how to prepare the drywall for carving, actual carving and how to seal, paint and display.  You will have the beginning of your carving (possibly  finished) by the end of the afternoon.  Please bring an idea for a 6”x6” square piece -  it’s better to have larger shapes, as smaller details can get lost.

· Styrofoam Insulation Sculpture/Carving- $3.00
Manipulate this easily carved and painted material to create large scale sculptural forms, low relief sculpture, and more!  Please bring blades and tools you wish to use to cut and carve. (for example:  snap blades, carpet knives, etc.)

**PLEASE  RSVP to shannon.wedel@usd428.net so that we know how many materials to provide.
